Success Stories!

Hier ein sehr beeindruckendes Feedback des Headmaster von Merchiston Castle zu unseren Schülern:
August completed his career at Merchiston in August.  In his A Levels, he gained the following grades: Chemistry A*; Geography A; German A*; Mathematics A* and Physics A*.  August is going to the University of Cambridge, his first choice of university, to read Natural Sciences.  During his final year at Merchiston, August was captain of the basketball team, a key member of the football 1XI and was appointed a House Prefect. His Housemaster noted that: “August will thrive at the University of Cambridge on a Natural Sciences course where I am sure he will feel challenged academically. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with him over the last two years. He is a very personable and biddable young man and I enjoy speaking with him. He is determined and focused when he wants to be, and this will stand him in good stead in the future. He has been an excellent prefect in the House and I feel he is leaving Merchiston as a mature, courteous and ambitious young man.”
Felix too completed his career at Merchiston in August.  In his A Levels, he gained the following results: Economics A*; Mathematics A*; Further Mathematics A; German A*;History A* and in English Literature AS Grade A.  Felix is attending the University of Oxford, his first choice of university, to read History and Economics. Felix enjoyed playing squash, tennis and attending the gym.  His Housemaster commented that: “He was an amazing scholar who impresses anyone who comes into contact with him.  We were delighted with his deserved Oxford offer and hope to see great things from him in the future.”
Kent completed his GCSEs/IGCSEs gaining the following; 6 A*s and 2 As.  He has now graduated into our Sixth Form.  Kent continues to make much progress in all aspects of life here at Merchiston. His Housemaster added: “Kent has shown himself to be a mature young man and I have enjoyed getting to know him more. It has been a real pleasure being his Housemaster.”
